Privacy

Because your privacy is important to us, the University of Kentucky Department of Computer Science's  50th Anniversary Celebration Event Registration website operates by these principles:

  • The Conference Registration System ("Site") is maintained by UK Department of Computer Science, 301 Rose Street, University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY 40508.
  • We can be reached by email.
  • We explicitly ask when we need information that personally identifies you ("Personal Information"). For example, to register for conferences or events, you will be asked to provide your name, e-mail address, and other information depending on the event and requirements of that specific event.  We use this information to generate e-mail messages to inform you of successful registrations and other information related to that event.
  • If at any time you believe this Site has not adhered to these principles, please notify us by email and we will use all reasonable efforts to promptly determine and correct the problem. If you have questions about this policy, please email us.

Credit Card Transactions

Credit Card Logos

Some conference/event registrations on this site do not perform any credit card transactions. The operators of this site would like to assure you that measures have been taken to make such transactions secure. All the credit card processing needed is done through worldpay which utilizes industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) servers to encrypt your information and prevent unauthorized access.

Shortly after a purchase or refund is processed, you will receive a confirmation via e-mail. You are advised to print out and save a copy of the order confirmation for verification necessary to request refunds or resolve any disputes. This Web site guarantees that every transaction will be 100 percent safe. This means you are not responsible for unauthorized transactions posted to your credit card that occur as a result of submitting a credit card number to this site.

This site stores all registration information locally only. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges. If your bank does hold you liable for any of this $50.00, this site will cover the entire liability for you, up to the full $50.00. This site will cover this liability only if the unauthorized use of your credit card resulted through no fault of your own from transactions made at this site while using the secure server.

Refund Policy

Unless stated otherwise on the individual conference registration page for which you are registering, all event registrations accepting payment fees are non-refundable.
